Sunday Mornings at St. Mary's

Sunday Morning classes are well underway at St. Mary's.  We all start together with Children's Choir with Celeste as we learn to sing praises to God. The children will be singing in church on October 6th.  The Preschool and Lower Elementary (K-2nd) then go to their separate classrooms downstairs while the Upper Elementary (3rd-5th) head for their classroom upstairs.  All of these classes are using the Weaving God's Promises curriculum and are on year 3 - Building Community. If you haven't registered your children for Sunday School please do so by following this link.

Rev. Beth also blessed our new Children's Chapel giving the children a separate, sacred place to hear God's Word during part of the 10:30 AM service.   We're looking forward to the exciting ways that God will be revealed in this new space.

Adults - Are you wondering what to do while your children are in Sunday School?  There are some excellent adult class offerings at St. Mary's.  I know they would love to have you.

Open House

It was so much fun to see everyone at the Open House on Sunday.  There were some fun games going on in the Lower Elementary class while the Preschoolers and the Upper Elementary classes  worked on some artwork.  It's going to be a great year as we learn more about God's love for us and about how we can build community.  I'm looking forward to some great outreach projects, some new games, and some fantastic art and I'm especially looking forward to seeing you there.

We start our regular classes on Sunday, September 8 at 9:00 with Children's Choir.  If you haven't registered click here to go to St. Mary's website.

Worship on Wednesdays!

Good Samaritan skit
Check out our donkey!
It's been an awesome summer of movies, games, skits, crafts and amazing food! We've seen the Prince of Egypt and The Wizard of Oz.  Gathered around the table we all got to learn how our childhoods were the same - but different.  We learned how to make soap and made some cool shapes.  My favorite was the purse with the quarter suspended in the clear, glycerin soap. The donkey was a riot in the skit about the Good Samaritan.  Everyone played their parts so well!

We still have a few more weeks left in our summer Worship on Wednesdays.  We'll be doing more crafts on August 7 and putting together more skits on August 21. The All Ages Talent Show and Tell is scheduled for August 14.  I'm sure it will be a blast.

Worship on Wednesdays is a great way for all of us of all generations to get together and share our lives and our love for Christ along with food and fellowship.  Will you join us?
